It uses either silica sand or Bestway Polysphere™ Pool Filtration Balls (neither included) to filter debris out of your pool, and includes a pre-filter strainer basket to catch larger items and increase the pump's efficiency and longevity. This set also includes a ChemConnect™ dispenser to simplify your pool maintenance routine. This dispenser provides a stable level of chlorine (not included) throughout your pool to maintain proper chemical balance. The durable, corrosion-resistant pump comes pre-assembled, so just plug it in and power it up to start seeing an improvement in the filtration of your pool. This sand filter pump is compatible with 1,100-18,100 L (300-4,800 gal.) above ground pools. It also features a 6-position handle to easily switch the filter functions between filter, closed, backwash, rinse, drain and circulate.
